One thing I've also noticed about rock icons - the usage of facial expressions. Their faces are more expressive, but in a subtle way. They don't exaggerate emotions, like you might when you're trying to be silly on a home-video. Maybe it has something to do with being free to feel however they like and not hide it, or that their facial emotions are more recognizable because their true emotions come through better. I'm not sure. Any thoughts on this? Solid list.
